My company BDW Contracting specializes in custom home construction since 1990. Often the sites have difficult access from the street and side yards. I had seen the versa bags used to transport materials that did not want to be contaminated. I first used the versa bags to transport and store sand and other bulk products. This allowed us to minimize space on the site, also ,visually it was organized. We used the bags to sling garbage and used building product out of the site as well as clamps that are used in concrete forming. This minimized double handling of the materials. The use of the versa bags helps our workers to use mobile truck cranes, lumber truck etc to lift our materials to reduce worker fatigue and compensation claims. Most of our injuries are back injury claims. As we progress, we are finding more applications for the versa bag to make our company safer, more productive and more efficient.

We’ve been using these bags from our pigment supplier for some time and really like them. They keep the container cost down for my supplier and he passes the savings on to us. The big benefit for us is in material handling where team productivity has been improved over bulky plastic re-enforced containers. In addition, our disposal costs are greatly reduced over those same bulky containers. I keep a couple of bags on site filled with sand just in the off chance we have an industrial spill. I can put a sack over the nearest storm drain in seconds keeping all the spilled contents on site for immediate cleanup thus avoiding an environmental problem. We’re sold the bags work for us!
